24 Weeks

How far along: 24 weeks, 6 days

Maternity clothes: I finally got my first actual maternity church dress!  It’s super comfy.  I’m also just doing the hair tie trick for a lot of my pants.  I also got some maternity garments, and those things are definitely going to be a lifesaver for the rest of this pregnancy!

Stretch marks: Nope!  But I have felt little tingling sensations near my belly button when I move, and my sister in law said it means I’m starting to get stretch marks deep inside…ahhh I hope not!

Sleep: Pretty good.  I did wake up for the first time in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom (I know, not bad since many women deal with that for most of the pregnancy!), but it definitely sucked not being able to fall back asleep, especially on the day I work my earliest shift!

Best moment this week: Feeling her move from the outside!  I even saw her making my stomach make a twitching motion, so it’s pretty cool that she’s getting big enough for that!

Miss anything: Probably sleeping on my back.  I still will do it for a little bit, but it makes me nervous so I make myself roll onto my side.  I really need to just suck it up and buy a maternity pillow lol.

Movement: Oh yes!  I still anxiously wait for it every day, since some days she moves more than others (especially since my nurse said I should be having daily movement starting at 23 weeks).  I still don’t feel really strong kicks, but the movement I do feel is very obviously her, and she sometimes pushes out to the front of my stomach cuz it gets really hard so it’s fun to feel her so close to the surface!

Food cravings: Reese’s Puffs cereal…I literally made a trip to Wal-Mart to get just that…so worth it haha

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still no, but I am starting to get heartburn every once in a while.

Have you started to show yet: Definitely.  People are commenting at my work much more frequently now, and it’s funny cuz I always notice my bump catch their eye and they’re sometimes unsure if they should say something or not lol.

Gender prediction:  Girl!

Labor signs: None…let’s keep it that way for a while J

Belly button in or out: In, just more and more flat

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, but I do notice I get irritable or impatient with silly things sometimes.

Looking forward to: A chiropractor visit we have scheduled in about a week.  My upper back has been really achy lately, so I’m hoping it will help!
