33 Weeks

How far along: 33 weeks, 5 days
Maternity clothes: Nothing new…still doing my best to fit into my regular clothes lol.  As long as it stretches it works!
Stretch marks: Nope!
Sleep: Still fine for the most part…I’ve definitely had more 5 am bathroom wakeup calls though...seriously wishing my bladder could just wait a little longer to wake me up, but I guess I have to get used to not sleeping in once the baby is here anyways haha
Best moment this week: Having my baby shower!!  My sweet aunt Kris put together the nicest party for our new little baby, and we got so spoiled!  It was literally better than Christmas!  Especially because I got to see so many of my family members and my best friend from high school was able to make it too!  Such a fun and memorable day :)  I’m so grateful for all the loving and generous people in mine and Hesston’s life…we are definitely feeling more prepared for baby now!
The shower planner extraordinaire!  She really does plan the cutest showers...so grateful to you Aunt Kris!
My wonderful Mom and sister...so glad they could be there!

Technically FOUR generations in this picture!

My best friend Kim from high school!  So glad she could come!

So grateful to my sister Melissa for capturing all of the fun and excitement of opening so many thoughtful and adorable gifts!

Love this picture of me and my cute Aunt Kris!

Our growing pile of "baby stuff"...and this is only a small chunk of it!

SO many clothes!  I ran out of hangers and couldn't hang them all up!

We also had a really fun “pre-graduation” party for Hesston that his sister Charmayne put together for him, and it was really fun!  It worked out well to do it the weekend of the shower since everyone was in town.  We had a really good Dutch oven barbecue up Payson canyon with all sorts of good things to eat.  It was so nice just getting to see everyone and hang out by the campfire…even my mom and sister got to be there!  Thanks so much for throwing everything together Charmayne :)

3 babies in 3 months! (I'm due in June, and Jada and Kamie are probably having theirs in July and August!)

Miss anything: I am starting to get a little more uncomfortable, and eating and breathing is harder since she is smushing so much of my insides lol.  I’m sure it will only get worse, so luckily I’m down to only 6 weeks left!
Morning sickness: None
Movement: Yep!  She still gets hiccups fairly frequently, sometimes a couple times a day.  Also, it's fun with her being bigger since I can push into my stomach and usually feel something sticking out haha
Symptoms: A little bit of heartburn (thank goodness for discovering these fun heartburn “gummies”…they actually work really well, even though Hesston thinks I’m just eating them cuz they’re basically candy lol.)  My tailbone is starting to ache if I sit for too long, and I’m just hoping that it doesn’t get worse!  Also still getting those not-so-fun, super painful leg cramps a couple times a week…ouch!

Food cravings: It’s consistently been Peanut Butter Crunch cereal still haha
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope :)
Have you started to show yet: Yep!  Basically feeling (and looking) like I have a basketball under my shirt haha
Gender prediction: Baby girl!
Labor signs: Nope…let’s keep it that way for now!  It does freak me out to realize she’ll technically be full term in 3 weeks though!
Belly button in or out: Mostly flat, with the edges “sort of” sticking out
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!  Especially now that I can really start getting into the heart of prepping for her arrival, and being able to get what I want and need for her.
Looking forward to: Hesston’s graduation!  He literally only has one week of school left, and since he only has one final, the week leading up to graduation is gonna feel like a piece of cake, and we can just enjoy the last few days of being in grad school (I can’t believe I’m saying that!!)

32 Weeks

How far along: 32 weeks, 5 days
Maternity clothes: Just a few more things!  I got a couple fun shirts at Target while we were in St. George last weekend, and another sweet friend of mine let me borrow some more maternity jeans, but I still fit into my work clothes (workout pants and t-shirts) just fine for the most part, so that’s been nice!
Stretch marks: Still no :)
Sleep: Sleeping still mostly through the night, which is a blessing.  I did have a rough morning on Monday though, where I got up at like 5:30 to go to the bathroom, and about 10 minutes later as I was trying to go back to sleep, I started having pretty bad cramps all underneath my uterus (honestly felt a lot like round ligament pain), and it went on for close to 2 hours!  I took a warm shower at one point since I realized I wasn’t going to back to sleep anytime soon, and that definitely helped, but it came back pretty much right after I got out…no fun :(  I was able to move my doctor appointment for that week up to that morning thankfully, but after telling the doctor everything that happened as detailed as I could, he didn’t seem too worried since everything else with the baby was fine, and just told me to let him know if it happens again.  Let’s hope not!
Best moment this week: A couple fun things!  (Plus a few that have happened in the weeks I didn’t document)  We got both her car seat and her Pack ‘n Play!  It definitely made things feel more real to see a car seat in my living room!! When the Pack ‘n Play arrived, we couldn’t wait to set it up, so we just got to work that night…all I can say is those things are a BEAST to put together.  The instructions are definitely not the clearest (Hesston said they need to take lessons from IKEA lol), and it definitely tested our patience lol…call it parenthood initiation I guess!
{As much of a pain as it was to set up, I am so excited about her Pack 'n Play!  It has everything I'll need (bassinet that also flips to a bouncer seat and has sounds and vibration, a changing table, caddy for diapers and wipes, etc)  until I can get a nursery set up for her once we get settled...wherever that may be haha}

We had our Prepared Childbirth Class this weekend, and it was really good!  I’ll be honest, I knew most of what we talked about, but I still learned a couple of things!  Like when she taught us about some of the relaxation techniques to help cope with the pain, I learned that visualization really helps distract me...I just have to pretend I’m on a cruise lol.  My family will get a kick out of that :)  It was nice to see the labor and delivery floor as well so we know what to expect when we get to the hospital...I can't believe we're even talking about that at this point!

On our way to childbirth prep class, pillows in hand!

Seeing the dilation model on the table kinda freaked me out lol

My cute husband with the pregnancy suit on :)

Also, last weekend we were in St. George watching a friend of mine’s kids for a few days while they were on a cruise, and we had a lot of fun!  It was definitely a good test run for what having kids is like lol.  I think Hesston is glad we are starting with one and not four though ;)

Getting ice cream at Dairy Queen!

Getting shoes on before school...baby Quade sure loved Hesston

The cutest boys in a 4-wheeler you ever did see :)

Like baby ducks following in a row haha...we basically took the whole neighborhood of girls to the children's museum in St George!  The boys aren't in the picture, but we had NINE kids in all!!

He'll make a cute dad ;)

We decorated their parents room before they got home as somewhat of an "April Fools" prank/welcome home surprise!

Miss anything: I think I’ve really been missing being able to workout harder, and set goals to improve my shape.  Pregnancy is the one of the only times you aren’t supposed to be trying to lose weight (which is definitely out of my usual mindset being a girl and a personal trainer and all haha)…so I have definitely started thinking about my game plan for after having my baby!  Also, after feeling how unexpectedly heavy her car seat was, I am SO ready to get my upper body strength back to where it was!!
Morning sickness: None
Movement: For sure!  She is just getting bigger and stronger, so sometimes it actually hurts lol.  Her favorite thing to do is stretch out really wide, so it makes my stomach go rock hard in places (it’s either her bum or her head sticking out…can’t tell lol), and she sits there for a minute or so before gently going back in.  She’s also definitely starting to rub up against my bladder more too, so that’s real fun haha.
Lumpy belly :)  This is a good example of what I mean by her "pushing out".  It kinda looks like her head on the left, and her back along the right.  I'll love to get another ultrasound to see how she has been developing!
Symptoms: I had been doing so well not getting those terrible leg cramps (it’s basically the worst Charlie horse in your life, and for me it always happens in my left calf).  Anyways, the last couple weeks, I started getting a couple of them again, and it’s always when I’m in a dead sleep, so it is the RUDEST awakening ever!  I always grab Hesston’s arm really hard and squeeze til the pain goes away…I guess I subconsciously want him to feel the pain too lol
Food cravings: I’ve been craving Root Beer lately, which is a little weird!  I’ve always liked it ok, but never as much as my beloved Diet Coke.  Luckily most of them are caffeine free so I don’t have that to worry about…just gotta control myself with all of the sugar :)  Peanut Butter Crunch is my newest cold cereal craving too (I’m basically keeping the cereal industry in business all by myself at this point)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, and I’m still so grateful for it…it’s made this pregnancy so easy and has gone by so quickly!
Have you started to show yet: Oh yes, it’s unmistakable at this point :)  I really do enjoy all of the sweet people at work that congratulate me and ask questions about it…it’s fun to share in the excitement!
Gender prediction: Girl!
Labor signs: Not exactly…I have been getting (at least I am pretty sure I have) Braxton Hicks contractions…I may have just overdone it, but after I had cleaned for a while at my friend’s house the day they were getting back from their cruise, my abdomen kept tightening up, and it was uncomfortable enough to not be able to stand or walk very much.  I had to just relax on the couch for a good little while ‘til it died down.  I was joking with Hesston that he is going to have to do all of my cleaning when the “nesting” phase kicks in if I’m not able to get it all done myself!  (Not sure he was too excited about that lol)
Belly button in or out: Still pretty flat, but depending on how I’m standing, I swear there are starting to be parts of it that stick out!
Wedding rings on or off: Still on, and hopefully I’ll make it to the end that way!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy…sometimes a little anxious since we still don’t know the plan after Hesston graduates, but I’m trying to just soak in this time that we have before baby, and get as excited as I can about what’s to come :)
Looking forward to: My baby shower next weekend!  My cute Aunt Kris is such a sweetheart, and is throwing a shower for me with all of our family, and I am so excited to see everyone!  Most of them haven’t seen me with a true baby bump yet, so it will be fun to finally look pregnant and celebrate this time of my life with them :)
